I bought that book a while ago and just lately re-read it. It seems like a cut-and-paste job to me. I felt “Behind the Locked Door” by Graeme Thomson was more in depth, but as I recall you had issues with it.
I think our approach is going to focus on how Norman has shifted his interpretations and, in some ways, even his use of documentation over the decades. That’s always been one of the great things about Beatles historiography to me: since you have so many of the same names over the decades, I’m always curious to see what changes, what doesn’t, and see if we can figure out why.
